In this program, students will explore the essential components of sustainable and eco-friendly housing design. They will analyse the significance of passive solar design elements and their impact on optimising energy efficiency, considering variables like insulation materials, glazing, and thermal mass. Students will gain hands-on experience with electronic sensor technology to understand how it can be employed to minimise energy consumption within a smart and sustainable household setting. This program has been developed in collaboration with Earth Shack, aiming to provide students with practical insights into sustainable living and innovative housing solutions.
Program objectives:
- Understand the components of sustainable and eco-friendly housing design
