Students will create programs that allow machines to execute precise, repeatable, and efficient movements, identify patterns and make decisions with minimal human intervention. Visual block coding studios will be used to create and test programs and applied to game and real-world problems. The ethics behind the application of machine learning will be studied and students will take a more detailed look at how a chosen machine learning model works.
Program objectives:
- Identify different types of robots and their applications, benefits and constraints
- Use visual block coding to create robotic programs which are precise and repeatable
- Explore various sensors used in robotics
- Discuss ethical considerations and responsible use of robots
