Community Programs at Casey Tech School
After School Programs
Our After‑School Clubs give students the chance to dive deeper into the technologies and creative tools they love—at their own pace and by choice. These opt‑in sessions provide a fun, supportive environment where young people can pursue passion projects, meet like‑minded peers, and build skills in emerging STEAM fields.
Each club includes:
- Hands‑on access to specialist tools and technologies
- Short guided challenges led by our educators
- Space to work on independent or collaborative projects
- Opportunities to develop creativity, problem‑solving and teamwork
- A welcoming community environment open to all skill levels
Clubs vary each term and may include robotics, digital design, coding, electronics, media, and maker activities.
Registrations for our Coding Club will go live soon!
SPARK Program
SPARK is our flagship extension program for students with a strong interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, Mathematics, and Design. SPARK empowers young people to engage deeply with contemporary STEM/STEAM challenges, think critically and creatively, and contribute meaningfully to the future of innovation in our region.
Through workshops, industry engagement and collaborative projects, SPARK students develop both technical capability and personal leadership skills.
In the SPARK Program, students will:
- Explore current issues and innovations shaping STEM/STEAM industries
- Build advanced skills in STEAM fields using real technologies and software
- Strengthen capabilities in leadership, advocacy, teamwork, and communication
- Learn to think like scientists, engineers, designers, makers and communicators
- Provide insight and feedback on Casey Tech School programs
- Build strong connections with other young people across the City of Casey
- Represent student perspectives to the Casey Tech School Committee
SPARK is ideal for curious, motivated learners ready to challenge themselves and contribute to a community of future problem‑solvers.
